It’s Not Me…It’s Him!!!!!

It’s Not Me…It’s Him!!!!!

Thank you to everyone who has shared our news about I Have a Brother – My Brother is in Heaven since we posted it on Facebook Wednesday night!  I have been overwhelmed with gratefulness for each share and kind comment you have given us!

While I do feel like the Lord gave me this story, I did not make it into the book that it is alone. The Lord has provided the right people to do the right jobs including people to encourage (or URGE) me to finish this project and even people to give generously so that this project could be completed.  I have thanked Him so many times for giving me just what I needed when I needed it.

I should also thank the Lord for His patience with me as I have drug my feet or spun my wheels trying to figure out how to go about the self-publishing route.

I would like to introduce you to two ladies today who God provided to help with this project.  They took my words (I had the easy job) and they made them into illustrations and then into a book that is pleasing to the eye…I am amazed by their giftings and thankful to the Lord for each.

The Illustrator:  Kay Chin Bishop

When I finished writing the words, I immediately began to pray for the Lord to provide the right person to illustrate the book.  Kay Chin Bishop kept coming to mind.

Kay took my words and made them come to life.  Her illustrations can speak without my words.  The emotion and detail is in each one is amazing.

You can learn more about Kay on her website:

The Graphic Designer:  Alison Hoskins

Alison Hoskins took Kay’s illustrations and my words and made them into the book you will find available in mid-June.  Alison took my vision for this book and made it real.  I had read that your graphic designer will either be your best friend or your worst enemy, so to choose wisely.  The Lord provided me with the best of the best!  This was Alison’s first children’s book to design and she did a fabulous job!

I have to give a HUGE THANK YOU to these two ladies!  Without them, this book would still be a bunch of words on a Word document.

And again to all you kind folks who are helping to get the word out about this book, Thank You!  I praise the Lord for providing and for walking each step of this journey with me.  God is so good!

I will be back on Monday with a devotion, from the mother’s devotion book, I am working on.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

“My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord.

Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.”  Psalm 145:21
